Double dog dare ya 8 week challenge!
Hi Kathy!
Congrats on the weight loss and here's to gaining a daughter-in-law!
I am so ready for this BOTT challenge that I'm justing for joy!
Heaven knows I need all of the and support I can get when it comes to getting to my goal weight! At my heaviest I weighed approx 400 lbs!
By the grace of God, almost 6 and 1/2 yrs ago, I underwent RNY gastric bypass surgery! I'd lost 36 lbs through fad dieting so the morning of my surgery I weighed in at exactly 363 lbs.! Things went pretty well afterwords and within 18 months I'd lost 151 lbs. getting down to 212lbs.!
Unfortunately, due to other chronic, health problems, in the 4 yrs that ensued, I ended up having ten additional surgeries, none of which were related to the wls itself. Eventually, a majority of the good eating habits I'd learned slowly began to be replaced by bad ones! Once they took foothold and "life simply happened," I slowly started regaining weight - a few lbs.here, a few lbs.there! At +10lbs I started yo-yo dieting again and grazed and yo-yo dieted my way all the way back up to 279 lbs!!!That was a real nightmare!!!
Fast forward to today! Armed with an absolutely brilliant therapist, an awesome dietitian, a fantastic personal trainer, and by attending my surgeon's support group meetings, I have lost 35 lbs.! I've reached a turning point in my wl journey and really feel ready to finally reach my goal weight - which for me is between 165-185 lbs. So I have another 60-80 lbs.of extra weight to lose!
My goal for this 8 week challenge is to safely lose 2-3 lbs. per week or 16 - 24 lbs over the course of the challenge!
Kathy, I've been "lurking" around for a bit and have been very encouraged by your wls journey! Thanks for being so candid and encouraging!
BOTT!!!

ok Kathy...you can count me in...I sure NEED the challenge...NEED the company so to speak...My hubby asked me to help him loose....sooo I figured this would be a good time to share with him ... I have issues in the evening...but those are my own problems...I want to start exercising too..,.yesterday I " push mowed" my yard & trimmed the trees and I have the blisters to prove it !! IT FELT SO GOOD TO MOVE AND SWEAT... I figured it I had time to do that after work I could find time to go "walk" at least, and my "hefty" 10 yr old son is wanting to come with me. Guess I will load the 18 month old up in the stroller and tell the & 7 yr old to get her new bike ready ...I need to do this to start feeling good not only mentally and physically....but as a parent I sooo need to be a good role model! AND WHO WOULD NOT LIKE TO DROP A SIZE!
LOL
GOOD LUCK EVERY ONE!
